Wrenthorpe Cafe

The Wrenthorpe Cafe gives villagers the opportunity to have tea, coffee, cake and a chat with fellow Wrenthorpe residents.

The Wren Café, held at Valley Crescent Centre, off Valley Drive, is open every Wednesday morning from 10am until 12 noon.

The café, started by an enthusiastic resident in January 2010, was taken over by the community association in October 2011 and has always been extremely popular. It is run by volunteers who provide a variety of hot and cold drinks, toasted tea cakes, crumpets, scones and cakes (sometimes home-made). Hot soup or baked beans on toast are also available. Our main aim is to provide not only quality drinks and food but a meeting place, warm and comfortable, especially for those living alone, to share an hour or so with friends, old and new. There is always someone to talk to and always someone to listen.

Do come along. You will be made most welcome.
